The School Management Committee and Parent Teacher Association support the Director and staff, and provide a link between the school and wider community. All the Uphill staff are encouraged to use their specialist skills to benefit the school community. Some teach music and drama, others coach sports or guide the pupils who are involved in maintaining the school vegetable garden. The Director’s wife coaches pupils who are interested in developing tailoring skills, along with weaving and beadwork. From time to time trainers, coaches and international volunteers spend time at the school and help with everything from sports, music, dance, art, IT lessons and professional development for the teachers.
